Matthew is a Portland native who truly loves the Rose City. A graduate of Portland State University, Matthew earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and political science in 2002 and a Master of Arts in history in 2005. Matthew has been a resident of St. Johns for nearly 20 years and loves its restaurants, shops, and most of all, its residents.
Matthew began working in the legal field as an administrative assistant in 1999 and transitioned into the role of trial paralegal in 2005. Since then, Matthew has worked in numerous legal fields, including contracts, insurance defense, environmental, employment, bankruptcy/foreclosure, family, tribal, and cannabis law, among others. Matthew relishes the role of “jack-of-all-trades,” and researching new and creative ways to apply the law to his cases.
In his spare time, you can often find Matthew at Providence Park supporting the Timbers and Thorns or the Moda Center/Memorial Coliseum cheering on the Blazers and Winterhawks. Matthew also absolutely loves learning and playing all things dinosaurs with his dino fanatic son, aka Dino Dude!
