David attended the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and earned his B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. While working on the AV-8B program at McDonnell Douglas as an aerodynamics engineer, he earned his MBA in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis.
After moving to the San Francisco Bay area, David worked for a consulting firm managing software development projects and doing aviation operations research for the FAA, DoD and NASA. David was fortunate to have visited all Navy and Marine Corps air stations in the U.S. while developing sophisticated simulation models of their aviation training operations.
Before joining McKean Smith, David owned and operated two businesses related to lighting in the Bay area and the Portland Metro area. He is excited to bring his extensive skills in creating, implementing and managing efficient operations to a new domain.
When he’s not working hard to keep the firm running efficiently, David likes to spend time with his wife, Victoria, skiing, hiking, kayaking, camping, and adventure traveling.
