Family Law Paralegal

We’re growing at a steady pace and an increasing workload has initiated the need for a full-time Family Law Paralegal to join the team, imparting their energy and expertise toward a number of challenging cases. We are seeking a professional, ambitious candidate with strong communication skills. You’ll sync up with your supervising attorney to prepare correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents. There’s a host of other duties on your agenda which will require focus, finesse, and strong follow through. You’ll prepare trial notebooks, gather documentary evidence, prepare exhibits, and offer pivotal support during trial time.

What Matters:

  • 3-5+ years of direct experience in family law as a Paralegal required.
  • Experience with Clio, Lexicata or other comparable programs and G-Suites, preferred. MS Office and Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Knowledge of family law rules of court and local rules and procedures for filing and lodging documents as well as filing deadlines, required.
  • Ability to prioritize with shifting demands.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including impeccable proofreading skills.

General Description of Work:
The Media Specialist and IT Support position will work directly with the Human Resources Administrator to support key marketing endeavors, such as; the planning and execution of online asset execution, marketing campaigns, publicity and content generation, and playing an active role in supporting firm technology capabilities and supporting transitions within firm tech resources.

Essential Functions:
Take an active role in the strategizing firm tech resources to accomplish B2E collaboration and workflow tools, as well as negotiating, planning, and execution of firm tech resources.
Develop and execute marketing, publicity and social media campaign content for the firm’s various legal services.
Cultivate working relationships with local and regional media, including journalists, editors, and media directors in both Oregon and Washington.
Monitor overall social and community trends surrounding legal marketing.

General Functions:
Work under the management and direction of the Human Resources Administrator, while supporting firm resources and promoting the firm brand.
Provide creative input to improve overall performance of firm tech assets and promoting marketing outreach for the firm and attorneys.
Seek ongoing training or enrichment opportunities surrounding Media/PR/IT Support functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
College degree in related field or experience equivalent
Experience in Microsoft Office software (including Administrator functionality)
Experience in Google GSuite software (including Administrator functionality)
Experience in Adobe Cloud Application Suite including, but not limited to, Adobe In Design
