Using her Master’s in Education on top of her legal training, Jennifer Peckham leverages her experience as an educator to convey her clients’ narratives. Focused on Family Law in Washington County, Oregon, she works to give her clients an intuitive understanding of the possibilities of their cases. As a former English teacher, she knows the importance of sweating the details, and strives to have every “t” crossed and every “i” dotted.
Before she joined McKean Smith, Jennifer worked at two small law firms as well as a non-profit law firm that provided family law services to clients of low-to-modest incomes. She also volunteered her time to the Oregon State Bar referral service and as part of the Oregon State Bar Modest Means program. “From that volunteer work, I have experience assisting all sorts of families in transition,” she says.

In law school, Jennifer worked in child advocacy, as a law clerk for the Oregon Department of Justice and for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program of Multnomah and Washington Counties.
Jennifer volunteers for the Night Clinic program at St. Andrew Legal Clinic and for the child representation program in Washington County.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys camping; riding motorcycles with her husband; and spending time with her family pets, which include two dogs and a cat.
