By Zach Walsh, Attorney

On January 1, 2020, Senate Bill 420 took effect, easing the burden of clearing past marijuana convictions from your record.

Oregonians previously found guilty of low-level marijuana possession offenses cannot be charged a fee for submitting an expungement request, and any prosecutorial objections must be filed within 30 days.

For more information, contact McKean Smith and make an appointment with an experienced criminal defense attorney who can help you to clear a cannabis conviction from your record.
